"In this challenging economy, there is a resounding pressure for companies not to make a mistake hire and there is a fear from candidates to change employers as well because of the volatile and unstable market. It is more important than ever to slow down and explore every possible detail of a client's needs and almost become obnoxiously thorough in information gathering to guard against a mistake hire. On the flip side the same is true in the information gathering from candidates so that the match of candidate TO client can be validated and substantiated in the hopes that we may get as close as we possibly can to avoid a mistake hire.
Before joining Angott Search Group, Tom pursued his career in executive search with another leading search firm in the Midwest. He built his practice from scratch into a multi-million dollar business by meeting the needs of clients and candidates with incredible precision. His candidate and client-centric approach has propelled him to the top five percent of the search business and that success will no doubt continue with ASG. Tom has been a perennial top award winner since his introduction to the search business.
Tom grew up on a farm in central Missouri, received his BA from Hannibal-LaGrange College, won many national awards while in the automobile business, and is married with six children. He loves spending time with his family, volunteering for his church, most every sport, especially football and basketball. Tom has run several mini-marathons in the last few years as well.
