Industry Experience
Scott began his banking recruitment career in 2007 with MRI-Wausau, which has since been fully integrated into Angott Search Group. Today, he continues his long-standing banking practice as part of ASG’s Financial Services team, bringing nearly two decades of specialized industry experience to clients across the Midwest.
Scott focuses on Commercial and Agricultural Lending as well as Executive Management positions, partnering primarily with community and regional banks throughout Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Eastern South Dakota. His deep market knowledge, relationship-driven approach, and understanding of the unique challenges facing Midwest financial institutions have made him a trusted advisor to both clients and candidates.
During his tenure with MRINetwork, Scott earned significant recognition for performance and leadership. He was named a finalist for the 2014 “CSAM of the Year” award and received the Pacesetter Award multiple times (2008, 2010, and 2012–2019). He was also honored repeatedly as Account Executive of the Year in the Wausau office (2008–2019).
Since 2012, Scott has held the Certified Senior Account Manager (CSAM) designation, the highest rank awarded within the MRINetwork system, reflecting his sustained excellence, industry expertise, and commitment to delivering exceptional results for the banking institutions he serves.

- EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: Univerity of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2006 (History & Political Science)
- COMMUNITY / INDUSTRY INVOLVMENT: Assists his wife with their area “Christmas Spirit Program” which provides gifts for underprivileged youth. He also coaches baseball and basketball for grade school kids and is a basketball booster board member for the high school program.
- ON HIS BUCKET LIST: Visit Hawaii again with his wife and this time bring their kids. (They have been there twice but now it’s been almost 10 years)

- FAMILY: Married for 26+ years to his college sweetheart when he was attending UW-Milwaukee. They relocated to North Central Wisconsin, his hometown, where they began a family with four boys aged 17, 14, 12, and 10.
