Angott Search Group is partnering with a regional Kansas bank in their search for an experienced and results-driven Director of Loan Operations to lead and oversee the bank’s loan processing, documentation, closing, funding, servicing, and administration functions. This leadership position will focus on operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, process improvements, and developing high-performing teams to support the bank’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee loan operations, including processing, documentation, closing, funding, servicing, and collateral administration.

• Manage and develop loan operations teams, establishing performance expectations and operational standards.

• Ensure accurate and timely execution of commercial, consumer, and real estate loan transactions.

• Oversee loan servicing activities, including payments, modifications, renewals, payoffs, and escrow administration.

• Strengthen internal controls, quality assurance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate processes, and improve operational efficiency.

• Partner with lending, credit administration, compliance, risk management, and executive leadership to support business objectives.

• Oversee loan systems, technology enhancements, vendor relationships, and operational reporting.

• Monitor department performance, resolve complex operational issues, and implement continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Significant progressive experience in banking loan operations, including loan processing, documentation, closing, funding, and servicing.

• Proven leadership experience managing loan operations teams and complex lending processes.

• Strong knowledge of commercial and consumer lending, collateral administration, and banking regulations.

• Experience implementing operational controls, process improvements, and quality assurance procedures.

• Proficiency with loan origination, servicing, and core banking systems.

• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced banking environment.

• Experience with centralized loan operations, system conversions, or community and regional banking preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
