Angott Search Group (ASG) is partnering with an Indiana-based community bank to find an experienced and results-driven Senior Lender to lead commercial lending initiatives while managing and developing a team of lenders. This player/coach position will focus on commercial loan production, portfolio growth, credit quality, and business development while working directly with the President/CEO.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and manage Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) loans.

• Lead, coach, and develop commercial lenders while maintaining personal loan production goals.

• Drive business development, loan portfolio growth, and relationship management.

• Evaluate credit requests, loan structures, underwriting, and risk exposure.

• Monitor lending policies, procedures, and portfolio performance to ensure sound credit quality.

• Develop lending strategies, training programs, and process improvements.

• Participate in the Officer Loan Committee and support senior-level credit decisions.

• Ensure proper loan documentation, collateral requirements, and regulatory compliance.

• Collaborate with executive leadership to achieve the bank’s lending and growth objectives.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in commercial banking and lending, including C&I and CRE loan production.

• Proven track record of originating loans, growing portfolios, and developing business relationships.

• Strong credit analysis, underwriting, loan structuring, and risk management skills.

• Previous leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop lenders.

• Knowledge of commercial lending regulations, loan policies, and compliance requirements.

• Excellent communication, business development, and decision-making abilities.

• Ability to balance individual production responsibilities with team leadership.
